Excellent drive. Turns a lot of heads.I would highly recommend. My wife loves it. I have a another mid size truck and this one beats it hands down, in driving, fuel economy, interior design and size.

  • Should have bought it sooner - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

I looked at the Sport Trac a couple years ago and really liked them but hesitant to buy one because of past problems I had with an F-150. When I finally decided it was time to buy I started looking at trucks and SUVs from all manufacturers and probably judged Ford the hardest. I pretty much selected a vehicle from all the major manufacturers and then started the process of elimination by comparing features. Once I had it narrowed down to three vehicles I then went to dealerships for test drives and "in person" comparison. After extensive head-to-head tests there was no denying that the Sport Trac was the clear winner in features, style, usability, and build quality.

  • SUV/TRUCK - All in one tight package - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

The Ford Explorer SPORT TRAC is a great all around vehicle for the person that needs a pickup truck and a SUV. Versatilely is what you are going to get when you purchase this vehicle. Yes I know that there is a short bed that doesnt allow you to put a full 4" x 8 sheet of material in the bed. But there are ways to overcome such shortsightedness. Did you ever think of getting a small trailer to hook up to this baby? Youll be able to carry what ever a full size pickup carries without having to drive a full size pickup bed around town when its not needed. Can you use that full size pickup for work, play and as a family vehicle? I doubt it. The Sport Trac can be used for all the above

  • My second one. I love it! - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

My first one was a 2001. We put 70,000 miles on it in 4 years trouble free. Quite impressive for a brand new model. My wife is an avid gardener and always had our previous cars full of flowers, dirt, rocks and trees. Although I would not consider my Sport Trac a truck my wife does and it works beautifully for her hauling. The rear seats fold flat and provide a very useful cargo area while being fully secure. We have a lockable hard tonneau cover which makes the bed quiet weather proof and very useful. The 4 wheel drive is only adequate, the ride is only adequate, the cargo capacity is only adequate, the size is only adequate but what sets the SporTrac apart is that it does all of these things.

  • Ford has a winner in the Sport Trac - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

I think the Sport Trac is the best SUT on the market today. It is a perfect combination of room, towing capability, style and versatility. Four adults can very comfortably take a long trip in this truck (has seating for 5). It is a great truck for the average homeowner who has occasional hauling needs but doesnt need or want a full size truck.

This is a great truck for those who want to be able to carry some small loads for home use. The back window also goes down to accomodate lumber. A great towing capacity of 5000lbs for my boat, room for 4 with regular size rear doors. Suspension can be improved by adding sway bar underneth. Minimal cost. Very happy with truck except for door handles in 2002 model. The paint chips easily. Plenty of power from v-6 with truck being lighter than regular f- 150.

  • 2005 Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Bar none one of the best vehicles ever owned. Some quality issues early on, but taken care of by dealer. Interior with heated seats has button located to left of driver seat that trips on when entering/exiting vehicle, not fun in summer. If youre looking for truck/luxury combo you found it with this vehicle. Stereo outstanding, I added XM Satellite which makes longer trips enjoyable. Sound quality superb! One of a kind vehicle for 2005. Check out the new 2007 models, could be worth the wait.

  • My 2nd Sport Trac - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

I bought my first Sport Trac in 2001, and loved it. Sadly a drunk driver totaled her and I had to buy a new car. So naturally I bought another Sport Trac. This time I got the 2005 Sport Trac Adrenaline. Its great. Looks sharp, plenty of get up and go, and lots of room. I really like the automatic window in the back. And this time got the hard cover for the bed, as well as the "bush guard bars" for the front. My first Sport Trac was silver ... this one is black. I think that she would approve.
